We all have, “pockets,” in our lives. Work, finances, church, friends and family are just some of the pockets in our lives. Life can become a whirlwind if just one of these pockets are in turmoil! Right now every single one of my pockets – all of them – feel like they are weighted down with rocks. There are concerns with finances and work. There is a lot of personal tension for me in regards to ministry at church right now. Someone close betrayed me. My grandson had a medical concern and physical emergency recently and my mother-in-law passed away yesterday morning.

Let me share with you an amazing thing God communicated to me weekend before last. I was away at a women’s retreat. It was Saturday Evening Worship Service. I felt God’s presence so closely. God said to me, “If your church was gone, this weekend gone, your job, family and friends were gone and you were in my arms, would that be enough?” I said with tears on my face, “yes.” If you have a personal relationship with God, one day that will be what it comes down to ultimately in the end.

The American Express commercial says, “What’s in your wallet?” I say, “What’s in your pocket?” Whatever it is, God can handle it because He’s waiting beside you with open arms.
